Safe Shelter of St. Vrain

"The effects of abuse are devastating and far-reaching…because [abuse] speaks in many languages, has many colors and lives in many different communities."

"Quisque eleifend ipsum eget purus egestas ultricies. Cras sem. Suspendisse potenti. Vivamus porta libero. Ut quis risus. Nam hendrerit tortor a felis."

What is TERA?

Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley’s TERA (Teens Ending Relationship Abuse) Program is a volunteer program for teens which provides them with the training and the opportunity to educate their peers about teenage dating and relationship abuse.  Teen dating violence is a serious issue and spans across age, gender, race, and economic status. One out of every five teens will experience abuse in a dating relationship. TERA’s mission is to educate teens about the cycle of violence, helping them establish healthy relationships at an early age.

We encourage student participation in the TERA program and emphasize the importance of healthy relationships in all areas of life.  TERA hopes to reach beyond the stereotypical views of domestic violence and to increase awareness of teen dating violence and all forms of relationship abuse.
